What's New                                                                       Days of the New Tabs Home

(4/30/06):

The site has been moved to a new domain (www.wesailatdawn.com/daysofthenew). I made the move somewhat haphazardly so tell me if anything is missing!

(2/20/06):

I deleted my spam collection, aka the guest book.

(12/28/05):

Wow, a new update! Touch of Anger tab added to the non-album section.

(6/4/05):

I added a tab of Orch of the Medium to the Non Album section. Enjoy!

(5/26/05):

I fixed a broken link to the seasons change tabs. If you notice any more broken links, let me know.

(4/26/05):

I redesigned the front page. I hope you like it. I was pretty sloppy doing it so I apologize to anyone viewing the page in the last hour or two. That's about it for updates for now....

(4/26/05):

Okay, so they aren't very pretty (and they probably won't be used enough to justify me making them so) but we now have a guest book and a message board. If they serve any useful purpose, I will be impressed. I mostly just wanted to see what it took to set them up.

(4/26/05):

Man, I watched that interventions show...that's some pretty messed up stuff....

(4/23/05):

Well, the old host for the site is going to kick me off so we've moved.  The illustrious Experimental Error Inc. has been gracious enough to provide a new home!!  I'm hoping I'll be able to go through and tidy up things a bit soon ("soon" being a relative term here...).  No major changes...I just might make the sight look a little prettier.

Also, this new host has some neat built in features like message boards, wikis, guest books, shopping carts....  A wiki would be interesting...but I already upload everything I get sent pretty quickly and I don't screen things for accuracy so I'm not sure it would add any more other than letting people vandalize the site.  I'll probably add a message board at some point though because I feel like people would like to request new tabs or discuss the tabs up right now.  I get emails from time to time asking for certain tabs...everything I have is on the site already so don't ask me!

(1/26/05):

Added another version of Got to be You and a live version of Words to the nonalbum section. Sorry it took a few days for me to get these up!

(10/29/04):

Added another version of How Do You Know You.

(10/22/04):

Added a third version of the Red Outro to the red album section.

(9/8/04):

Added two new tabs to the non-album section: The Sun and a live version of Where I Stand !

(9/3/04):

Now there's a links page. The page is no longer so isolated!!

(8/28/04):

I made a few minor touch-ups: trimmed the opening page's text since it was somewhat out of date, changed the way my email address is displayed to cut down on spam, and added a stat counter so I can see if anyone actually still uses the site. I think the most significant update is that date that you now see at the top of the screen. The last update previously was from 2002. This site is not dead. It just has tabs for all the songs already and Days of the New have not released any new material in awhile. Once they do, I'll have to wait and see if anyone actually submits that material to me.... I feel like there are some slicker Days of the New pages out there now so this site might have become obsolete. However, there were already tab pages before this site and it was not created as eye-candy. It was made to be a reliable location for Days of the New tabs and that is what I hope it has been. It will continue to reside here. Days of the New tends to attract intense temporary interest which fades after awhile. I hope this page will always be available even if Days of the New go years without making any news. Also, I should note that I stopped visiting the message boards awhile ago so I no longer keep up with all the latest Days of the New gossip. I eagerly await more music from Travis though.

I also put a link to my album review blog at the bottom of the main page. That's mostly because this page shows up on google and I want the blog to show up too, but you should check it out if you're interested. I try only to write about relatively unknown albums (errr, forget I said that when you read the Slipknot review...) and it's mostly harder, edgier music but I bet some Days fans might like some of it.

(12/22/02):

I added a tab for Break You. I am unfamiliar with this song. Where'd it come from?

(12/19/02):

Added another version of seasons change.

(12/18/02):

Added another version of enemy.

(10/13/02):

Updated versions of Days in Our Life and Once Again (second version).

(9/28/02):

Added the instrumental from whatsleftforme.com to the nonalbum section.

(9/6/02):

Put a correction to dancing with the wind version 2. Changed tuning.

(7/11/02):

This time I really put up Benig's new Shelf in the Room.

(7/8/02):

Put up a new version of Benig's Shelf in the Room and his version of Freak.

(7/1/02):

Put up a correction for Jon's Dancing with the Wind (the second correction; I didn't get the first one until I got the second.)

(6/30/02):

Added another (Jon's) version of Dancing with the Wind.

(6/25/02):

I put up Jon's Cling.

(6/24/02):

I put up Jon's new version of Giving In.

(6/22/02):

I put up Benig's new version of hang on to this. It has a new tuning.

(6/16/02):

I added Ron's tab for What's Left for Me, I'm surprised that it took so long to get a tab for that song up.

(5/15/02):

Today, I replaced Benig's old versions of fighting with clay and hang on to this with new versions. Looking down the updates, I see that I at least attempted to do this before but I must have done something wrong. I also added his version of Once Again. Also, I added Ron's version of Dirty Road, although looking at the last update I thought I had already done this as well. Those are the updates, I added a few new remarks to the main page as well. Tell me if anything doesn't work.

(3/31/02):

Added another version of Dirty Road (sorry for the delay I was on spring break).

(3/5/02):

Added the fourth version of Die Born and made small corrections to Whimsical and the second hidden track on Orange.

(2/28/02):

For the sake of Days of the New Fans' eyes, I messed around with the fonts and colors. I hope this helps. Keep in mind I know very little html and don't really feel like learning it since I know enough to put the tabs for other people to get and that's all I'm trying to do. If anyone has any comments or suggestions about the appearance of the site, feel free to tell me.

(2/27/02):

Made a one note correction to red outro second version.

(2/26/02):

Made the concert review more viewer friendly.

(2/22/02):

Added a second version of the tab of the red outro.

(2/20/02):

Added tabs for Dancing with the Wind, Never Drown and Where are you.

(2/18/02):

Added tab for Red Outro.

(1/30/02):

Added tab for Special Guide.

(1/24/02):

Thanks to Keith we now have tabs up for Champagne, Got to be you, Flight Response, Enemy, Weapon and the Wound, I Think, Take Me Back Then, Phobics of Tragedy, and Last One.

(12/21/01):

Benig sent me new tabs for fighting with clay, hang on to this, and days in our life. I replaced his old versions of them. So technically it may look like tehre has been no update but the tabs are new. I kept the old tabs but I don't see any need to keep them up since the versions are corrections by the same person. okay,no more updatrs because this telnet program i'm using now is giving me a headache.

(12/10/01):

Wow, remember these things? I haven't touched this page in awhile. I think it is adequate for its purpose now so the only updates you're likely to see are new tabs. ...which brings me to reason for this update: The tab for Whimsical has been added to the orange section! Thanks to those who tabbed it out and sent it in.

(11/14/01):

I added a Red album version of Fighting w/ Clay. I also added Once Again.

(11/13/01):

Today, I added the second hidden track from the Orange album and posted a corrected version of the first hidden track.

(11/06/01):

Okay, I fixed the problem with those tabs I added yesterday. They were saved to the wrong file format. I've noticed that the second version of Shelf in the Room looks messed up when you click on it. I'm not sure how to fix this yet...right now if you cut and paste it into note pad it all lines up but for some reason it doesn't line up in a web browser. I'm going to try to make this place look a little nicer soon but other than that it's getting closer to being complete. We still need more Green tabs if anyone would like to make them though. I also put the tabs in the order that they are on the album now just for convenience. I moved Independent Slaves from the Orange album page to the non album page (Why didn't anyone tell me?). I added different colored back grounds for the different albums...thanks for the pics. I put up my review from the concert that I went to awhile ago. Have a nice day.

(11/05/01):

I have just rearranged the site so that each album now has its own page instead of everything being on the same page. I also added this updates page. New songs added today are Days in Our Life, Best of Life, another version of Die Born, and Hang on to This. Keep suggestions and submissions coming so that I can keep this place alive and growing. On more of an odd note, some of the tabs open in html and some open up notepad for you. I have no idea what makes some tabs do one thing and some do the other but I'm trying to figure it out and make everything the same. By the way, all tabs are best viewed in notepad. Okay that's it for now, have fun playing. I hope to add an appropriate background to the site sometime soon.

(11/05/01):

I added another version of Shelf in the Room. Tell me what you think. I have a feeling that you're going to like it more, but try it out. Keep the tabs coming. I was sent a couple more, but they didn't send right so Benig if you could please send them again, I will add them. Remember my address is ivorysnake48 (at) hotmail (dot) com. Happy playing to all!

B.D. (Before Dating)

Look, added the semblance of order to the site now! I also ganked a bunch of tabs all from one other person's site...I'll look around and gather up the few songs not here later. But, I'd like to know what you think of these tabs and perhaps receive some corrections to help keep this place fresh and accurate. If you're the guy whose site I stole from, I hope you don't mind...I was hoping that the site was perhaps abandoned and no longer updated. Thanks for the e-mails...keep em coming but just remember that all I did was gather and collect the tabs together and then put them up on the web. Other people have spent alot more time actually learning these songs and many of them have put their e-mail addies on their tabs so please thank them too! Okay, that's it for now, enjoy

B.D.

Ok, Here's a few tabs that I have to get the collection started. I play guitar but do not have a good ear at all so if these tabs are inaccurate I'll change them. If I put up a tab here that's yours and you don't want it up tell me and I'll take it down. I'll try to make this place at least a little more hospitable some time but I typed this myself and I didn't feel like adding any special effects. My e-mail is (note 8/28/04: this email is now invalid) will@idaysofthenew.com Ok happy playing!
