"Instrumental" (days of the new, live and unplugged mp3) recording courtesy of www.whatsleftforme.com transcribed by: jonathan questions/comments: jonerocket@hotmail.com h = hammer on p = pull off v = vibrato ~ = strumming / = slides ^ = bend ... = palm mute *note* the tuning is: D-A-D-A-C-D half step down with a cappo on the 4th fret. which makes it: F-C-F-C-Eb-F "why don't you just tune to D-A-D-A-C-D without a half step down and just put a cappo on the 3rd fret," you ask?? for 2 reasons: 1) the majority of DOTN songs are in Db-Ab-Db-x-x-x. so since your guitar is probably already tuned flat, it makes sense to leave your bottom 3 strings alone, and to tune your top 3 strings flat aswell.... (as a time saver). 2) your dot inlays will line up better. if your guitar is like mine, you have inlays on the 5th, 7th, 9th, and 12th frets. putting the cappo on the 4th fret keeps those inlays on odd frets. (1, 3, 5, then 8). maybe it's just me, but having those inlays on even fret numbers freaks me out man! ....but you can do whatever you like. *remember to compensate for the cappo when reading this. a -2- in this tab is actually a note played on the 6th fret. a -3- is a note played on the 7th fret a -4- is a note played on the 8th fret ....etc....etc.....
